ArchLIGHT Summit, the growing lighting trade event and educational platform for the architectural, specification and design communities, has announced a partnership with the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) Education Trust, a not-for-profit charitable educational organization that provides direct support to educators and students for the purpose of promoting the study of architectural lighting design.

The participation of the IALD Educational trust will include multiple support elements during the September 19-20 ArchLIGHT Summit.

Jill Cody, Principal of Dark Light Design and Board Member of the Trust will give a presentation for students about the lighting design profession on ArchLIGHT Summit’s official Student Day, Wednesday, September 20. Furthermore, professional lighting designers and members of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) will also be doing portfolio reviews for students that day in The SMART Center; participating students will sign up for specific times.

On Tuesday, September 19, ArchLIGHT Summit’s Casambi-sponsored Happy Hour will lead into the popular “Lovers of Light” game show, the first Dallas appearance for this traveling event. A portion of sponsorship proceeds will benefit the IALD Education Trust with the opportunity for participants to directly donate to the Trust throughout both days of ArchLIGHT Summit via a designated QR Code.

ArchLIGHT Summit encourages and supports the attendance of students interested in the commercial lighting and design field with complimentary admission to the two-day event and educational sessions.  ArchLIGHT Summit is also co-located with Dallas Design Week, providing additional CEU and networking opportunities for attendees of both events.
