Alloy LED, a leading designer and manufacturer of premium quality LED tape lights, is pleased to announce that its AmpChamp™ LED Terminal Connectors and PrimaPanel Flexible LED Sheet have been selected by Architectural SSL magazine as Product Innovation Award (PIA) winners. The products are being awarded for their attributes, qualities, functionality and/or performance beyond industry standards. 

The PIA’s recognize innovative LED and solid-state luminaires and fixtures on the market, while also spotlighting the players behind the components that make up these light sources. The judging and evaluation of products and systems were done by a distinguished panel of 16 designers and lighting specialists skilled in product evaluation.

The AmpChamp connectors are UL Recognized, the only tape light terminal connectors in the industry to carry this distinction. Featuring a unique, patent-pending design, the connectors provide secure and reliable connections to eliminate slippage and connections that loosen over time. The connectors also enable longer tape light runs on a single connector and can accommodate tape lights as narrow as 0.4 inches (10 millimeters), while support the most/highest number of connections within the smallest space. The family also includes the industry’s first RGB and RGBW terminal connectors for color-changing tape lights.

The PrimaPanel Flexible LED Sheet is a fully modular and field-cuttable LED panel providing even, hotspot-free illumination for indoor backlighting applications on straight or curved surfaces. The versatile sheet features vertical, horizontal, and now, offers the freedom for 45-degree angle cutting lines for unlimited custom installations beyond just simple squares and rectangles. PrimaPanel is ideal backlighting solution for displays, walls and counters, among others, and is a popular solution to illuminate translucent materials, common in commercial buildings including hotels, casinos, retail stores and corporate offices.

These Alloy LED products were honored earlier this year for innovation from LEDs Magazine as 2022 BrightStar Awards honorees. The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Progress Committee also recognized the AmpChamp RGB and RGBW connectors for inclusion in the 2022 IES Progress Report, which showcases products that provide significant technical advancement in the art and science of lighting over the last year.
