Acuity Brands, Inc. announced today luminaires representing its A-Light, Eureka, and Luminis architectural lighting brands won a total of eight GOOD DESIGN® Awards from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.

Each year, The Chicago Athenaeum presents the GOOD DESIGN® Awards Program for the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product, and graphic designs produced worldwide. Launched in 1950, GOOD DESIGN® is the oldest and the most prestigious Awards Program organized worldwide. In 2022, several thousand submissions from over 55 countries were judged by an international jury of design experts across multiple disciplines.

GOOD Design Award winners include:

A-Light: Absorb I Suspended Luminaire is an acoustic luminaire that delivers form, style, and sound absorption to an environment. Made for areas with hard surfaces, tall windows, and high ceilings.

Relay Suspended Luminaire features curved and softened design elements, allowing users to configure diverse geometric patterns for a continuously lit shape.

Eureka: Berri is a family of fixtures based on a combination of tubes and luminous spheres. Both unique and endless, the possible configurations can suit a wide range of functional and decorative applications.

Billie offers a large visual presence with an attractive rounded conical shape. The inside reveals a center opening enticing the observers to ponder the origin of illumination. It is well suited to visually impact several spaces with a variety of luminaires or to define a single gathering space.

Caldera is a sleek and narrow profile luminaire with a large hollow center to harmonize gracefully with its surroundings, while its sharper and refined silhouette adds an elegant aesthetic touch to any space.

Henri is a timeless, elegant pendant that evokes a playful yet modern feel. While its soft lines provide a soothing presence to any space, the sharp corners help outline its form and allow it to create a bold design statement.

Luminis: Bellevue includes columns, bollards, and wall-mount luminaires giving designers the latitude to bring lighting performance to where it is needed while unifying a project’s overall look.

Scena brings safety and security to outdoor environments while preserving the light’s soft aesthetics and architectural appeal.
